Week of November 2
Hello Families!
Thank you so much to the families of Tristan, Annika, Dylan, Luca and Averie for donating items for our Halloween party! While it was different than previous years, we had a great time celebrating together with snacks and a few low-key activities.

This week's learning:
Classroom Community: We had a lot of fun with our low-key Halloween party this year; I "thank you so much for letting us have a Halloween party" from so many students! While it certainly was different, and maybe not as exciting as in previous years, we still had fun being together and having some fun.
ELA: We are continuing on with our 2nd unit this week: determining text importance and identifying sequence of events. This week we will be focusing on the personal narrative genre while identifying the sequence of events within the text.
Click on the following image below for ideas on how to connect what we are learning in school at home:
Students will also have a math home link page to work on most days of the week. I will always include the lessons we are working on in the blog each week so that you know when to work on each home link. These home links are not going to be turned back in, but I highly recommend that students work on them each week so that they can show you what they have worked on. I don't mind if students work a bit ahead in the packet; it is also ok if you miss a night and have to come back to that particular lesson on a different day. Times are unpredictable and I completely understand that you may have prior commitments on certain days of the week.
Thank You,
Mrs. Hassenger
